Description:

Browlift

Who is a candidate: A brow lift is often performed with a facelift. The procedure corrects skin wrinkling and loss of tone that causes sagging of your eyebrows and hooding of your upper eyelids. A brow lift softens the deep creases across your forehead and reduces the horizontal frown lines and vertical lines between your brows

Intended Results: A brow lift corrects drooping eyebrows and eyelid tissues, forehead creases, and frown lines that can make you look worried or angry.

Procedure: One approach to a brow lift is an incision that is placed toward the middle of the scalp, where it is hidden within your hair or at the front of the hairline. Another approach is an endoscopic brow lift which requires several very small incisions in the scalp. The endoscope is inserted through these small incisions, allowing the surgeon to see and work on the various structures of the forehead.

Healing: Postoperatively, you will have temporary puffiness and discoloration in the forehead which could involve your eyelids and cheek areas as well. You may experience numbness of your forehead and scalp. You should be able to return to work in approximately 10 days.
